In fact, I'm so proud I'm breaking my 'no crossposts to fannish LJ' rule :-)

[livejournal.com profile] tanais has uploaded a high quality version of his live performance of The Hidden Language of Birds (Kyrönjoki River, Finland remix): here at soundcloud.

And here's the video of his performance:

(and a direct link, just in case embedding isn't working on DW)

MCR, YOU HAVE PROVED YOURSELVES WORTHY OF MY LOVE!!!!!

ETA: Well, you know, apart from the trans!fail D-: /o\ Why? Why?!

Gee and Mikey's comics love finally makes it through fully into the band!!! \o/

I did have my doubts there for a few months. Now I'm just sad I probably won't get to all your UK gigs in October - still holding out some hope for one of them... we shall see.

Been away writing dissertation and enjoying Witchcamp. Still writing the dissertation, but have uploaded five of my songs to soundcloud this morning!

It was supposed to be '50 Bands you have seen live', but I don't think I've actually seen that many.

In no particular order:

Tears for Fears
S E Rogie
Branford Marsalis
Transglobal Underground
Loop Guru
The Velvet Underground
James Taylor Quartet
Stereo MC's
New Model Army (multiple times)
Tanita Tikaram
Balaam and the Angel
Ed Alleyne-Johnson (NMA support)
Rory McLeod
The Wedding Present
Sigur Ros
Peter Gabriel
Therapy?
Joolz
Suede
um...

That's only 19. I'm sure I've seen more bands than that, but I can't remember them :-(

ETA: I remembered some more!
The Larks
A Tribe of Toffs
unnamed band reenacting Einsturzende Neubauten's "Concerto for Voice and Machines"

A propos of nothing:

Sibelius, 5th symphony (CBSO/Simon Rattle)
Schoenberg, Friede auf der Erde
Groove Armada, Superstylin'
Shpongle, The Gnomes Have Found a New Way to Say Hooray
Mozart, La Noze di Figaro
J S Bach, St. Matthew Passion / Mass in B Minor / Christmas Oratorio (I can't decide)
Mahler, 2nd symphony (CBSO/Simon Rattle)
Wagner, Tristan und Isolde

I don't know which one I'd rescue from the waves.

The ones that almost made the list:

Plaid, Rest Proof Clockwork (track 2)
Richard Strauss, Daphne auf Naxos
Mahler, Four Last Songs
Weill, The Threepenny Opera

Anyone who wants to make this a meme, feel free. Bonus cool points if you can add links to the tracks you list (like I didn't ::cough::).

Stolened from [livejournal.com profile] siriuslysmitten.

If your life was a movie, what would the soundtrack be?

Go to your music player. Hit "random" and write down the title of the song that comes up. Repeat for each section.

Some of these are scarily a propos )
